The visit of the Italian Consul to the Language Center at Benghazi University and his meeting with the center’s director, Professor Dr. Youssef Zghwani, and Dr. Hanaa Al-Badri represented an important opportunity to enhance academic and cultural cooperation between Libya and Italy in the field of languages. During the meeting, several issues of mutual interest were discussed, with a particular focus on enhancing the learning and teaching of the Italian language in Libya.
The development of programs for learning and teaching the Italian language at the Language Center and the Faculty of Languages at Benghazi University was discussed, aiming to expand the scope of educational programs and deepen the understanding of the Italian language among Libyan students. The Italian Consul expressed great admiration for the center and its strong capabilities in teaching and learning foreign languages, affirming the Italian Consulate’s commitment to supporting education and cultural exchange between the two countries in this field.
The possibility of organizing joint scientific conferences and exchanging experiences and resources in the field of scientific research between the two countries was also discussed. This presents a fruitful opportunity to enhance academic cooperation and develop cultural relations between the two sides.
