The President of the University of Benghazi meets with the South Korean Ambassador to strengthen scientific and cultural cooperation

The President of the University of Benghazi, Professor Dr. Azeddine Al-Darsi, today welcomed the South Korean Ambassador to Libya, Mr. Jang Ji-hak, in an official visit aimed at opening avenues for mutual cooperation in the scientific, cultural, and educational fields.

The reception was attended by the Director of the International Cooperation Department at the Libya Development and Reconstruction Fund, Dr. Aqila Al-Abbar, and the Secretary-General of the University of Benghazi, Mr. Hassan Al-Mangoush. The meeting focused on discussing ways to enhance relations between the University of Benghazi and South Korean universities. They discussed the possibility of exchanging academic and research expertise, facilitating student and faculty exchange programs, and fostering collaboration in research.

During the meeting, Dr. Al-Darsi emphasized the importance of strengthening international partnerships to support the progress of higher education in Libya. He pointed out that cooperation with South Korean universities would contribute to the transfer of advanced expertise and the development of the educational and research systems at the University of Benghazi.

For his part, Ambassador Jang Ji-hak expressed his willingness to support cooperation with Libyan universities in the educational and cultural fields, for the benefit of students and researchers from both sides.
