Under the patronage of the President of the University of Benghazi, Professor Ezzeldin Al-Darsi, an important meeting was held today, among representatives from the University of Benghazi and the University of Jordan.The University of Benghazi delegation was headed by the Acting Vice President for Academic Affairs, Professor Jamal Al-Oraibi, and the Director of Graduate Studies and Training, Dr. Suleiman Rabih.

 

The University of Jordan was represented at the meeting by:

• Professor Ashraf Abu Karaki, Vice President for Scientific Faculties

 

• Professor Munawwar Al-Tarakieh, Dean of the Engineering Faculty.

 

• Professor Sameh Al-Zubaidi, Director of the International Affairs Unit

 

• Professor Hala Bouadi, Acting Dean of the Nursing Faculty .

Also present from the Association of Arab Universities were:

 

• Professor Anas Rateb Al-Saoud, Executive Director.

 

• Professor Ziad Amara, Director of the Secretary General’s Office and Director of International Relations.

 

During the discussion, both sides agreed to begin preparing a comprehensive cooperation agreement that includes developing Master’s and Ph.D programs in medical and applied disciplines, and supporting joint scientific research.

The final version of the agreement will be presented to the President of Benghazi University and the President of the Jordanian University for official approval.
