DecibeLY Medical Team Receives the 2026 Excellence Shield at the University of Benghazi
The University of Benghazi honoured the DecibeLY Medical Team, one of the teams affiliated with the University’s Business Incubator Department, by presenting it with the inaugural 2026 Excellence Shield in recognition of its outstanding scientific and research achievements at the local and international levels.
The award celebrates the team’s record of success, including international recognition from the World Health Organisation and participation in several international scientific conferences and events. Most recently, the team participated in the 37th World Congress of Audiology, held in South Korea, marking Libya’s first-ever participation in this global congress.
The ceremony was attended by the President of the University of Benghazi, Professor Eiz Eldeen Aldressi; Dr Lobna Hamzalloh Al-Sheikhi, Director of the University’s Business Incubator Department; Professor Meftah Younis Al-Jazwi, Vice President for Medical Colleges; Dr Khaled Al-Fadhali, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Dr Wissam Al-Sheikhi, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Arts; Dr Mohamed Kurd, President of the Libyan Accounting Group; Dr Youssef Karwad, representative of Alpha Medical Company; and Iman Mazeg, Academic Supervisor of the AUP Team, alongside faculty members, administrative staff, and students.
This recognition reflects the University of Benghazi’s commitment to supporting young talent, encouraging student innovation and scientific research, and promoting participation in international events. It also highlights Libyan capabilities and their distinguished representation on the global stage.
