University of Benghazi Participates in 12th Arab Hearing Health Conference through DecibeLY Team

 

 

The DecibeLY team at the University of Benghazi participated in the 12th Arab Hearing Health Conference, held in Amman, Jordan, from 24 to 26 September 2026. The team, administratively affiliated with the University of Benghazi Business Incubator, represented the University through scientific research focused on hearing health and noise-induced hearing loss.

The team was represented by Dr Lamia Adel Arhouma, one of its founding members, who presented a scientific paper entitled “Noise-Induced Hearing Loss Among Medical Students at the University of Benghazi: A Cross-Sectional Study.”

The participation reflects the University of Benghazi Business Incubator’s commitment to supporting research- and innovation-driven university teams and initiatives while enabling young professionals to take part in scientific events and present research and projects originating from the university at Arab and international levels.

The conference also provided an opportunity to exchange scientific expertise and explore the latest developments in hearing health, contributing to the advancement of specialised research and professional initiatives in Libya.

The DecibeLY team expressed its appreciation to all those who supported its participation, particularly the University of Benghazi, Dr Lubna Al-Sheikhi, Director of the University of Benghazi Business Incubator; Dr Hussein Al-Khamri, Libya’s representative at the Arab Advanced Academy for Hearing and Balance; and the Libyan Red Crescent.
