Today, a formal meeting was held between the President of the University of Benghazi, Dr. Eiz Eldeen Aldressi, and the Roya Foundation for Digital Development, led by Dr. Oqba Khalifa Haftar, alongside the foundation’s representative in the governmental institutions liaison committee.
Roya Foundation for Digital Development expressed its deep gratitude and appreciation for the pivotal and distinguished role of the General Commander of the Armed Forces, Marshal Khalifa Haftar, in supporting the nation’s progress and stability, as well as his significant interest in the University of Benghazi and his provision of all necessary support to enhance its standing as the leading institution among Libyan universities.
The meeting included an introduction to Roya Foundation for Digital Development and its role in promoting and supporting digital development across governmental institutions and sectors. Discussions explored avenues for collaboration with the University of Benghazi, particularly in providing consultations, studies, and practical models for digital transformation.
This potential partnership aligns with the efforts of the Libya Development and Reconstruction Fund, which oversees the rebuilding initiatives for the University of Benghazi. The collaboration seeks to elevate the university’s global standing by enabling comprehensive digital transformation.
The meeting also emphasized the strategic objective of making the University of Benghazi a pioneering model as the first fully digital Libyan university, providing seamless digital services across all operations.
At the end of the meeting, the Chairman of the Roya Foundation for Digital Development presented a special gift to the university president: a signed copy of the book “Digital Transformation in Libya”, authored by Dr. Oqba Khalifa Haftar.
