Benghazi University Participates in an International Project and Joint PhD Program to Advance Research in Sustainable Energy Economics in Collaboration with Sofia University
As part of the academic cooperation agreement between the International Cooperation Office at Benghazi University and Sofia University, and within the framework of the TWIN4ECO PhD project at the Faculty of Economics at Sofia University, Mr. Anastas Nikolov, an expert in Bulgarian-Arab relations, welcomed Dr. Mohamed Al-Refadi, the first candidate from the Faculty of Economics at Benghazi University to join the joint doctoral program.
The TWIN4ECO project aims to strengthen research excellence and consolidate academic cooperation between the two institutions by supporting joint research in sustainable energy economics and innovation management.
This international initiative represents a significant step toward enhancing research capabilities in the fields of economics and energy, thereby contributing to the economic advancement of participating EU countries and Libya. The project also includes several leading research institutions from Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, and Ireland, providing the program with a strong regional and international dimension.
This academic collaboration highlights the commitment of Benghazi University and Sofia University to exchanging scientific expertise and enhancing the visibility of Libyan researchers within international research platforms focused on sustainable energy and economic innovation.
