First Meeting of the Higher Committee for the International Conference on “Higher Education for People with Disabilities: Realities and Aspirations”
The first meeting of the Higher Committee for the International Conference titled “Higher Education for People with Disabilities: Realities and Aspirations” was held at the Center for Research and Consultations.
During the meeting, the commencement of work on the conference was announced, and the subcommittees received their assignments and established their work policies. Each committee will begin its tasks in preparation for this prominent and first-of-its-kind scientific event.
The conference chair, Prof. Dr. Abdullah Ahmed Al-Masrati, emphasized the committees’ commitment to representing this scientific conference in a manner befitting the prestigious Benghazi University, known as the mother of Libyan universities and a high reference in social work. He expressed pride in this significant conference, which aligns with Benghazi’s leadership in social work.
The conference sessions are expected to coincide with the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. The scientific committee is expected to soon announce the main themes of the conference, participation requirements, and the timeline.
This conference aims to highlight issues related to higher education for people with disabilities and to share experiences and scientific research in this field. It is anticipated to attract wide participation from researchers, specialists, and those interested in higher education and disability issues, fostering knowledge exchange and enhancing international cooperation in this regard.
