President of the University of Benghazi Receives the Audit Team from the Quality Assurance Authority as Part of the Technical Licensing Process for the PhD Program in the Department of Physics
The President of the University of Benghazi, Professor Dr. Azzedine Al-Darsi, received on Wednesday morning a team from the Libyan Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Educational Institutions, as part of the procedures required to obtain the technical license for the PhD program in the Department of Physics at the Faculty of Science, in preparation for launching the academic implementation of the program in the upcoming period.
The meeting was attended by:
• Professor Dr. Jamal Al-Areibi, Acting Vice President for Academic Affairs
• Director of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Office at the University
• Dean of the Faculty of Science
• Coordinator of Graduate Studies at the Faculty of Science
• Head of the Quality Department at the Faculty of Science
• Head of the Department of Physics
• Director of the Graduate Studies Office in the Department of Physics
The meeting comes within the framework of monitoring the requirements for accreditation, during which the attendees discussed with the Authority’s team the stages of technical auditing and the academic and administrative documents required to launch the PhD program in accordance with the approved standards.
The Authority’s team is scheduled to conduct a field visit tomorrow to the facilities of the Faculty of Science. The visit will include an inspection of lecture halls, research laboratories, and relevant technical facilities, in addition to reviewing the procedures and documents submitted by the Department of Physics to obtain authorization to offer the PhD program.
