The President of the University of Benghazi Honours DecibeLY Team for Participation in the 2026 World Congress of Audiology in Seoul and Recognition from the World Health Organization (WHO)

As part of the University of Benghazi’s support for scientific research and the empowerment of its academic staff to participate in international forums, the President of the University of Benghazi honoured the DecibeLY Team, administratively affiliated with the University of Benghazi Business Incubator, in recognition of their scientific achievements and research excellence.

The honour comes after the team’s research paper,
“Hearing Screening Results of Medical Students at the University of Benghazi,”
was accepted for oral presentation at the 37th World Congress of Audiology, scheduled to be held from 24 to 27 May 2026 in Seoul, South Korea.

The team also received official recognition and appreciation from the World Health Organization (WHO) in acknowledgment of the impact of their research in supporting hearing health and promoting scientific efforts in this field.

The research was presented by Dr. Mai Hilal Al-Mahdi, with contributions from the research team: Abduljalil Al-Zuwai, Tareq Al-Wafai, Mohammed Al-Gammati, Mai Al-Mahdi, Lamia Arhouma, and Sharifa Al-Taira, under the academic supervision of Dr. Fariha Al-Babour.
