U.S. Embassy Delegation Visits the University of Benghazi
The President of the University of Benghazi, Prof. Dr. Eiz Eldeen Aldressi, received today Mr. Jeremy Brent, accompanied by the Public Diplomacy Specialist, Ms. Maisam, and Mr. Naji Al-Mahrouq from the EducationUSA Advisory Office, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen academic cooperation and cultural exchange programmes between the University and U.S. institutions.
The visit was attended by the Director of the International Cooperation Office, members of the International Cooperation Committee, and several members of the University Council.
The meeting discussed the University’s strategic priorities for the upcoming phase and highlighted the distinguished participation of University of Benghazi students in Soliya Connect and other international programmes over recent years.
During the discussion, both sides agreed to begin preparations for launching new initiatives in medical education, petroleum engineering, and other key fields aligned with the University’s vision for international engagement and academic partnership-building.
At the conclusion of the visit, the delegation expressed their great appreciation for the University’s ongoing efforts and commended the expertise of the International Cooperation Office in managing and implementing international programmes. They also extended their thanks to the University President for his continuous support of international cooperation and his commitment to enhancing the University’s global presence.
