
University of Benghazi President Signs Academic and Research Cooperation Agreement with Politecnico di Milano
This morning, the President of the University of Benghazi, Professor Eiz Eldeen Aldressi, signed an academic and research cooperation agreement with Politecnico di Milano, one of the world’s leading universities, particularly renowned for architecture, architectural design, and heritage conservation, and ranked seventh globally in architectural design.
The agreement aims to strengthen scientific collaboration and advance joint academic studies and research projects, with a particular focus on initiatives that enhance Libya’s capacity in architectural heritage conservation and the rehabilitation of historic urban fabric, thereby supporting the preservation of architectural and cultural identity.
The agreement also includes provisions for the exchange of students and faculty members, as well as cooperation on launching joint academic programmes in architecture and heritage conservation, facilitating knowledge transfer and aligning with international academic standards.
This step reflects the University of Benghazi’s ongoing efforts to expand its international partnerships and elevate the quality of education and scientific research, in support of sustainable development and the university’s presence at both regional and international levels.
