University of Benghazi Explores Ways to Enhance Academic Cooperation with the Russian Cultural Centre and Approves a Student Exchange Programme

President of the University of Benghazi, Prof. Eiz Eldeen Aldressi, met with the Director of the Russian Cultural Centre and his Deputy, in the presence of the Director of the International Cooperation Office, Dr. Ahmed Saad, and the Russian File Officer at the International Cooperation Office, Dr. Tareq Najm, to discuss academic cooperation.

They agreed on implementing a student exchange agreement, allocating at least 22 scholarships for undergraduate’s, Master’s, and PhD studies, in Russia for University of Benghazi’s students and staff.

The Russian Cultural Centre representatives said admission requires studying the Russian language for free and achieving the required language proficiency level.

The university expressed readiness to host Russian students for Master’s programmes in the fields like Archaeology, Arabic Language, and Islamic Studies, supporting mutual academic and cultural exchange.

Both sides also agreed to organise a series of joint academic and cultural activities, to be announced in due course, contributing to the development of scientific and cultural cooperation and opening new avenues for knowledge exchange between the University of Benghazi and the Russian Cultural Centre.
