2026-04-28

The University of Benghazi Adjunct Position Programme continues to strengthen the university’s global research presence through impactful international collaborations

In a significant step reflecting its commitment to academic openness and stronger international engagement, the Adjunct Position Programme has supported the publication of a new research paper in Artificial Intelligence, with the University of Benghazi listed as the author’s affiliation.

The paper was authored by Dr Ghalya Al-whishi, a professor at Concordia University in Canada, marking another successful outcome of this initiative. The programme, adopted by the University of Benghazi as the first of its kind among Libyan universities, aims to connect Libyan scholars abroad with their home institutions.

This achievement highlights the value of productive scientific collaboration between Libyan scholars abroad and their counterparts within the country. It supports knowledge exchange and contributes to the production of high-quality, impactful research with international reach.
