Strengthening International Academic Cooperation between Benghazi University and the Libya-Britain Development Association
An official meeting was held at Benghazi University, bringing together Professor Eiz Eldeen Aldressi, President of the university, Professor Abdel Karim Ghazali, Vice-Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Saad, Director of the International Cooperation Office, and Dr. Tarek Najm, member of the office, with a delegation from the Libya-Britain Development Association. The delegation included Mr. Khaled Al-Abbar, Executive Director, and Mr. Suhaib Al-Magribi, Operations Director, a graduate and ambassador of University College London, ranked among the world’s top universities.
The meeting discussed prospects for cooperation between the university and British academic institutions, including academic exchange programs, joint postgraduate programs, and research projects in modern fields and advanced technologies. The discussion also covered support for training programs and capacity building for faculty members and students to enhance the quality of education and research.
At the end of the meeting, the University President emphasised the importance of this visit in supporting the university’s direction towards building effective and sustainable international partnerships, contributing to the development of academic and research programs and enhancing its regional and international presence. The delegation members expressed their eagerness to expand cooperation areas serving mutual interests and supporting scientific and academic progress between the two sides.
