Excellence Precedes Discussion: Researchers from the University of Benghazi Conquer Global Scientific Platforms with a New Achievement Reflecting Academic Research Excellence

In a new scientific milestone reflecting the strength of academic research, the Faculty of Science and the Department of Chemistry at the University of Benghazi proudly announce the publication of the first research paper by postgraduate researcher Al-Mahdi Al-Kassah (Physical Chemistry), derived from his Master’s thesis titled:

“Physicochemical study of DL-DOPA interactions with cationic surfactants (cetylpyridinium chloride and benzalkonium chloride): A comparative investigation on the micellization and binding properties”

The paper has been published in JCIS Open, published by Elsevier. The journal is classified as Q2 and indexed in both the Scopus and Web of Science databases, highlighting the quality, relevance, and international competitiveness of research conducted at the University.

This distinguished international publication comes at an early stage in the researcher’s academic journey, as he is still preparing his second research proposal and completing the writing of his Master’s thesis under the supervision of Professor Ashraf Al-Hashani. Publishing in a globally recognised journal at this stage demonstrates scientific rigour, strong research discipline, and the high standard of academic supervision that equips researchers to compete in the international scientific arena even before graduation.
