President of the University of Benghazi Discusses Prospects for Academic Cooperation with Maltese Ambassador
The President of the University of Benghazi, Professor Eiz Eldeen Aldressi, received the Ambassador of the Republic of Malta to Libya, Franklin Aquilina, along with his accompanying delegation, as part of efforts to strengthen academic and international cooperation between the University and Maltese educational institutions.
The meeting was attended by Dr Miftah Al-Jazwi, Vice President of the University for Medical Faculties; Dr Yahya Lamloum, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Affairs; Dr Awad Bilal, Acting Director of the International Cooperation Office; and Dr Tarek Najm, a member of the International Cooperation Office.
Discussions focused on strengthening cooperation in several key areas, including student exchange, collaborative research, developing joint academic programmes, and the exchange of expertise among faculty members, contributing to the advancement of higher education quality and the University’s international engagement.
During the meeting, the President reaffirmed the University of Benghazi’s commitment to engaging with international academic institutions and building effective partnerships that serve students and researchers. The Maltese Ambassador also expressed his country’s readiness to enhance cooperation and improve communication between academic institutions in both countries.
