University of Benghazi Strengthens Its International Presence with Distinguished Research Paper at the International Conference on E-Learning

 

The University of Benghazi participated in the International Conference on E-Learning, organized by Al-Rifaq University, as part of efforts to support digital transformation and develop the higher education system. The university was represented by Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Mohamed Al-Warfali, who presented a research paper titled:

“Promoting and enabling higher education through open and distance learning: Towards a national policy and effective implementation of e-learning in Libya”

The paper addressed the current state of e-learning in Libya, along with its challenges and future opportunities.

The conference saw broad international participation from the UK, USA, Algeria, and Tunisia, with over 200 research papers submitted. The scientific committee selected only 18 papers for publication, reflecting the high academic standard of the conference.

Key findings of the paper highlighted the importance of:

– Adopting e-learning as a strategic option.
– Developing digital infrastructure.
– Supporting and training faculty members.
– Establishing clear national policies for implementing e-learning.

This participation underscores the University of Benghazi’s status and its leading role in supporting scientific research and academic openness.
