University of Benghazi Prepares to Launch the 3rd International Scientific Conference
The University of Benghazi is preparing to launch the 3rd International Scientific Conference on the “Reality and Prospects of Methods of Teaching and Theories of Learning Living Languages in Arab Academic Institutions in the Era of Digitalisation and Technology,” scheduled to take place from August 22 to 25, 2026.
This international scientific event will be held across several Libyan cities, with the opening day taking place in Ajdabiya (Ejdabia), followed by academic sessions and activities in Benghazi, Al-Bayda (Brida), and Derna, reflecting a broader framework of national academic collaboration.
The conference aims to bring together a distinguished group of academics, researchers, and experts to discuss the challenges and opportunities associated with teaching and learning living languages in light of rapid technological advancements. It will also serve as a platform for knowledge exchange, strengthening academic partnerships, and developing innovative teaching methodologies aligned with digital transformation.
The conference will be chaired by Prof. Youssif Zaghwani Omar, Director of the Language Centre at the University of Benghazi.
Higher Committee of the Conference:
The conference is overseen by a Higher Committee composed of prominent academic and institutional leaders:

Participation in the conference is free of charge. The organising committee will provide one week of accommodation in Libya, in addition to free entry visas for international participants presenting papers.
