University of Benghazi President Discusses with the Standing Committee for International Ranking Mechanisms to Enhance the University’s Position in Global Rankings
The President of the University of Benghazi, Professor Dr. Eiz Eldeen Aldressi, held a meeting with the Chairman of the Standing Committee for International Rankings, Dr. Tarek Najem, to discuss several files related to developing institutional performance indicators in line with the approved standards of international university rankings.
The meeting reviewed the key indicators and criteria that contribute to advancing the University’s ranking and improving its competitiveness. Emphasis was placed on developing the e-learning system and activating the Moodle platform as a core pillar in supporting digital education, alongside expanding the use of electronic platforms and applications that support digital transformation in academic and administrative areas.
Both sides also discussed ways to utilise modern technologies to improve the quality of education and university services, in alignment with global trends in digital transformation and e-governance. These efforts aim to raise institutional performance efficiency and improve educational and research outputs.
The meeting underlined the importance of accelerating the implementation of digital initiatives and technical development plans within the University, given their significant role in meeting quality assurance and academic accreditation standards, as well as supporting the position of the University of Benghazi and increasing its prospects of achieving advanced positions in recognised international rankings.
