Scientific Workshop in Germany Brings Together University of Benghazi Researchers as Part of International Research Collaboration on Positioning Systems
Leuphana University Lüneburg in Germany hosted a scientific workshop involving researchers from the University of Benghazi as part of the research mobility activities of the Arab-German Young Academy of Sciences and Humanities (AGYA). The programme is being implemented by Dr Abdulhamid Al-Hassi, from the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Benghazi, as part of a research visit to the German university.
The workshop brought together Dr Ali Elgayar from the University of Benghazi, Prof. Lobna Said from Nile University in Egypt, Prof. Ghada Bouattour from Leuphana University Lüneburg, along with a number of researchers from the host university.
The programme included presentations and discussions of the preliminary results of the research work completed to date, an exchange of perspectives and ideas on advancing the research, the development of plans for the next phases of the research, and discussions on mechanisms for expanding scientific collaboration among the participating researchers and institutions.
Abdulrahman Al-Zawi, a PhD student at the University of Benghazi, also participated in the research visit, which provided him with the opportunity to work directly in German laboratories and contribute to preparing experiments and collecting data. This supports his doctoral research while facilitating the transfer of the knowledge and experience gained during the visit to the University of Benghazi.
This activity marks the beginning of formal research collaboration between the University of Benghazi and Leuphana University Lüneburg, opening new opportunities for the preparation and publication of joint scientific research, student and researcher exchanges, and the development of future research projects in positioning systems and other areas of mutual interest.
The collaboration reflects the University of Benghazi’s efforts to strengthen its presence in international scientific research networks and support researchers and postgraduate students by providing opportunities for direct engagement and collaborative work with international academic and research institutions.
