
University of Benghazi Honors Its Outstanding Students
Professor Eiz Eldeen Aldressi, President of the University of Benghazi, has today received the distinguished graduate Ahmed Al-Salini from the Faculty of Information Technology, following his achievement of first place at the Skills and Solutions Hackathon held at the University of Tripoli. The event was organised by French experts and supported by the French Embassy in Libya and the European Union.
During the meeting, the appreciation shield was handed over to Bengahzi University in recognition of its student’s excellence and the project’s win for the best idea in the competition. The shield was awarded directly to the University by the organisers acknowledging its role in nurturing talent and supporting innovation.
Ahmed Al-Salini’s winning project was an innovative digital platform aimed at organising tree-planting campaigns and promoting environmental awareness, reflecting a forward-looking approach to addressing environmental challenges through digital solutions.
This achievement adds to Ahmed Al-Salini’s growing record of success. He has previously represented the University of Benghazi at local and international events, most notably reaching the semi-finals of the global Hult Prize competition. After leading his team in presenting a medical device project to measure toxin levels in the bodies of kidney failure patients, which qualified among the top 360 projects out of more than 10,000 submissions worldwide.
